The countdown is on: we are officially less than 180 days from our January 2018 Disney trip! I seriously cannot wait!
So, if you’re not a Disney fanatic, you’re probably wondering why I’m so excited six months out from my trip? No, it’s not just my typical Disney World daydreaming going on….
Disney gives guests the opportunity to book their dining reservations ahead of time – six months out to be specific. Our six month mark hit last Friday at 6 a.m. I was at the gym with Steve, and we walked on the treadmill as we got on the app to try to book our favorites!
Steve and I usually like to stick to Quick-Service meals, as they are cheaper, quicker, and don’t require reservations/specific times. But with that being said, we really wanted to hit a few restaurants on our upcoming trip (Steve is tired of me raving about them :)).
While I was nervous about our cellular reception at the gym, we were able to snag ALL four of the reservations that we wanted! Here is a breakdown of the wonderful places we will be dining at:
- Via Napoli in the Italy pavilion in Epcot. Steve and I ate here on our first trip together in February 2015, and it was phenomenal! Pizza is my “good luck meal” before any race, so I knew that I wanted to hit this at least once throughout the week/weekend.
- Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I was fortunate enough to eat here for breakfast with one of my best friends when I visited her during WDW Marathon Weekend in 2016. We had such a blast, and I continually tell Steve how awesome the atmosphere is there – I mean how cool is it to eat like you’re at the drive-ins?! This time, we will be enjoying dinner, and I’m really excited!
- Cinderella’s Royal Table in Magic Kingdom. GUYS. I. Can’t. Even. Function. This has been one of my biggest Disney bucket list items for almost my entire life! I knew that this was going to be a hard reservation to get, so I’m so excited that we were able to book it! We will be enjoying breakfast on our last full park day, and our reservation time is before the park opens! How cool?!
- Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. I’ve eaten here a few times – even once with Steve – and each time it’s been so delicious! The atmosphere is also so beautiful, and it really makes you feel like you’re in the movie. Beauty and the Beast is definitely one of my favorite Disney movies, so dining here again was a must on my 2018 to-do list. We will also be eating here on our last full park day for lunch.
We are very excited to dine at all four locations – specifically Cinderella’s Royal Table! I still can’t believe I got a reservation! Next up on the trip planning agenda: Dopey Challenge costume creation, followed closely by fast pass selections. As always, I’ll be sure to keep you updated.
