Happy Friday, friends!
We have some exciting plans this weekend, including a going away party, Despicable Me 3, and Bruster’s Ice Cream!
Before this weekend begins, I’d like to take a moment to recap this past week. Let’s get started!
I had another round of great workouts this week, and I finished Dopey Challenge Training Week #3!
- Friday: 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym and some leg exercises
- Saturday: 5 miles on the treadmill at the gym
- Sunday: Rest day! But, we did take the dog for a 3-mile walk as well.
- Monday: 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym and some leg exercises
- Tuesday: 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym and some arm exercises
- Wednesday: 4 miles around the neighborhood
- Thursday: 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym and some arm exercises
I plan to do 30 minutes on the elliptical and some leg exercises at the gym today, 8 miles around the neighborhood tomorrow, and then I will be taking a rest day on Sunday. I also plan to do some walking throughout the weekend to keep my legs moving.
This past weekend, my husband and I took a day trip to the Yuengling Brewery. While I’m not much of a beer person, it was extremely cool to see the history behind the beer! We got to tour the old brewery (it was actually the company’s second brewery – the first burned to the ground), try some samples of Yuengling’s most popular beer, and walk through the gift shop and museum. We had never been there before and had been wanting to go for a while. We had a blast!
Another really fun experience was being able to watch Hercules on its 20th anniversary. Hercules is one of our favorite Disney movies – I think it might actually be Steve’s favorite!
I’m still reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, but I am almost finished! I only have two more chapters left, so I hope to finish it over the weekend and start Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I really do love these books!
WE HAVE A NEW OBSESSION: Hawaiian Shaved Ice.
Steve and I had been hearing wonderful things about a new “dessert shack” that opened in the neighboring town last year, and we decided to try it out last weekend. OH. MY. GOODNESS. It was so good! We decided to start small and try two flavors. We each got a “Lil’ Luai” dish, which is equivalent to a small.
Look how big the smallest size is! I got Cherry Cola and Steve got Root Beer – both were absolutely delicious!
We loved these treats so much that we went back for more the next day!
Anything Exciting Happening Next Week?
Like I previously mentioned, Steve and I have a few plans this weekend, after our hard workouts on Saturday morning of course! It’s sure to be another fantastic weekend.
What are you most excited for this weekend?
