Happy Friday, friends! Actually….yesterday was my Friday at work, so this is sort of like my second Friday! 🙂
We have a lot of plans this weekend, so we are going to be VERY busy!
Before this weekend gets started, I’d like to take a moment to recap this past week. Let’s get started!
Workouts
I had some great workouts this week, and I started officially training for Dopey Challenge!
- Friday: 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym
- Saturday: 4 miles on the treadmill at the gym
- Sunday: 2 miles around the neighborhood and then a 5 mile hike/walk with Thad and Steve
- Monday: 30 minutes on the elliptical and some leg exercises
- Tuesday: 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym and some arm exercises
- Wednesday: 4 miles on the treadmill at the gym
- Thursday: 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym and some arm exercises
I plan to do 30 minutes on the elliptical and some leg exercises at the gym today, 7 miles on the treadmill at the gym tomorrow, and then I will be taking a rest day on Sunday.
Favorites:
Experiences
First, Steve FINALLY took me to the driving range! You guys, I’ve been waiting years for this! As expected, I didn’t do so well, but I did drive the ball pretty far!
Another one of my favorite experiences from the week was being able to see our “niece” (Steve’s cousin’s baby, but she calls us “Aunt Sara” and “Uncle Stevie”). We got to go for a walk around the driveway (she’s learning to walk) and eat plenty of grapes. She is the cutest toddler around for sure.
Books:
Yes…I’m still reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I still wasn’t able to read at all this week, so I’m hoping to finish the book over the weekend…for real this time!
Food:
Steve and I went to Bangkok Wok last Friday and it was amazing! If any of you live in the Central Pennsylvania area, you must eat here. The butternut squash curry is a must-try for sure…YUM!
Additionally, Steve and I LOVE to make breakfast for dinner. Last night, I made some of the tastiest omelettes that I’ve ever made! I have been really craving Margherita pizza, so I decided to try to make an omelette version with eggs, tomato, onion, mozzarella cheese, and basil. It turned out great!
Breakfast is always best served with turkey bacon!
Finally, I was feeling slightly under the weather this week, so I consumed quite a bit of Emergen-C to get rid of whatever I caught. And, it worked!
Disney cup for the win!
Anything Exciting Happening Next Week?
My sister plays for the PIAA 5A Softball State Championship today, so my entire family (and Steve) took off work so that we can travel to State College to watch the game. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to see how her team does!
Additionally, Steve and I are contemplating about going to a hibachi-style dinner this weekend…so you could say that I’m a little excited 🙂
It’s sure to be another fantastic weekend.
What are you most excited for this weekend?
