Week in Review – June 9, 2017

Happy Friday, friends! It’s been a looooongggg week, and I am so ready for the weekend! Steve and I have some date night plans, including dinner tonight at Bangkok Wok – our favorite Thai restaurant – and a trip to a local winery for wine slushies tomorrow night! I can’t wait!

Before this weekend gets started, I’d like to take a moment to recap this past week. Let’s get started!

Workouts

I had some great workouts this week!

  • Friday: 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym
  • Saturday: 6 miles around the neighborhood
  • Sunday: 30 minutes on the elliptical
  • Monday: 2 miles around the neighborhood with Steve and some arm exercises
  • Tuesday: 3.4 miles on the treadmill at the gym
  • Wednesday: 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym and some arm exercises
  • Thursday: 3 miles around the neighborhood

I plan to run 2 miles on the treadmill at the gym today, 4 miles on the treadmill at the gym tomorrow, and then Steve and I plan to take Thad on a 5-mile hike at the dog park on Sunday.

Favorites:

Experiences
Let’s first start with my favorite experiences for the week.

My puppy was VERY cuddly this week, and we were loving it. He usually doesn’t sit still long enough for us to pet him, let alone cuddle with him, so this week was a nice surprise! I got so many photos!

Another one of my favorite experiences from the week was seeing my baby sister win a 5A District 3 title with her softball team.

Her team won their game tonight, which means that they move on to the semi finals next week! Go Colts!

Books:

I’m still reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I wasn’t able to read much at all this week, so I’m hoping to finish the book over the weekend.

Food:
I’m still super in love with the Cookie Dough Recipe from chocolatecoveredkatie.com. Steve and I just made another batch tonight!

Anything Exciting Happening Next Week?

Steve is taking me to the driving range after our workout tomorrow morning! I CANNOT WAIT! I’ve never golfed before (besides mini golf), so I’m very excited to try something new!

Additionally, we plan to go to Moondancer Winery tomorrow, which is one of our favorite spots. They have the absolute BEST blackberry wine slushies! Don’t worry – I’ll be sure to take plenty of photos. 🙂

It’s sure to be another fantastic weekend.

What are you most excited for this weekend?
